Poa Annua is a light green colored grassy type of weed that produces white seedheads.  Its an agressively growing plant that can be hard to control once it emerges.  Poa annua will favor cool damp and shady areas of your lawn.

Prevention of Annual bluegrass (Poa) is an important step of our lawn care program each year in Acworth, Ga.  Poa Annua begins to germinate when soil tempatures dip below 70 degrees.  We apply a pre-emergent in early fall and in late fall for prevention of Poa Annua.
